Wilson Academy of Applied Technology
Weekly Message for the Week of January 5, 2020
This is Mrs. Cox calling with the weekly message. Please listen to the entire message unless you receive the weekly messages via email.
Classes resume for both WAAT and Wilson Community College, tomorrow, January 6, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.
All students need to report to WAAT’s campus at 10:30 a.m. This includes all seniors. We will need to issue textbooks, schedules, and report cards. After Monday, they will report during the appropriate class times.
Students are not permitted to leave the community college’s campus for any reason without permission from Mrs. Bennett or Mrs. Cox. Students who do not follow the appropriate procedures will receive disciplinary consequences. If a student needs to leave Wilson Community College at any time, all parents will need to contact Mrs. Bennett either at WAAT at 252-265-4038 or Wilson Community College at 252-246-1370 after 2:00 p.m. each day. Please do not text or call your child to dismiss him or her from his or her college classes. Instructors have been informed that the only way a student can leave campus is for Mrs. Bennett to inform the instructor. Mrs. Bennett may also need you to report to her office to verify that the student is leaving campus with the appropriate person. Her office is in Building G in room 104. Students will not be released without following this procedure.
Students who did not pay for a parking pass for the year, will need to purchase a parking pass for 2nd semester. The cost is $50. Parking passes need to be purchased by this Friday, January 10th.
Students cannot drive or ride to the community college campus in their personal vehicles without the proper permission forms completed by the legal guardian or parent. Failure to complete this documentation will result in the suspension of your child’s driving privileges.
The WAAT Staff would like to welcome back, Mr. Tyler Brown. He is replacing Ms. O’Neal as one of our social studies teachers.
If you have any questions, feel free to call the school at 252-265-4038.
Have a great evening!
